The path down to Yellowstone Lake is lit from the full moon rising over the Absarokas. I walk quietly to the shore with bear spray in hand and catch a glimpse of a massive bull elk making his way through the deadfall. Soon, the silhouette of a female elk appears and makes her way across a sandbar to the bull elk in silence. The wildness here awaken something deep within me and I am forever grateful.
